yoga teacher & somatic movement instructor

In the practice I combine different teachings of ancient yogic wisdom and modern somatic approaches that lead to free, easy movement, relaxation and regeneration.
The old school of strenuous muscle tensing exercises and trend of visual performance (especially in yoga) are in my opinion misguided approaches to regeneration and returning the body, mind and spirit back to balance. The emotional impact on physical rigidity is also rarely acknowledged or understood.
In order to strengthen our emotional resiliency, we need to stay in touch with our bodies. Research shows that we are more prone to stress when we are not aware of our bodies and that higher levels of body awareness relate to higher levels of emotional resiliency, ability to cope. We need to be able to read the body signals that tell us we’re stressed, so that we can then identify what our body needs. From there we can adapt to and set boundaries during difficult situations.
This practice is an opportunity to release physical tension, which is causing you emotional distress and reduces the effectiveness of functioning in various areas of your life. An opportunity to regain vitality, reset and restore your nervous system, and improve your well-being.
