Behavioral targeted advertising is advertising that is tailored to the interests of a particular person. These are mainly so-called “tracking cookies”, but other, similar technologies can also be used. The ad network operator stores a tracking cookie on the end device of the data subject when he or she first accesses the website displaying the ad from the network. A cookie is tied to a specific domain and contains information that can be read later from that domain. Based on this information, we can identify the User when he revisits the same site or another site that also has a partnership with that ad network, and then we can create a profile. These cookies are not provided by Juliet Rose but by third parties, hence they are also called “third party cookies”.
